NRMA Comments to 2023 CPRA Coastal Master Plan

NRMA recently submitted its comments to the 2023 Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority (“CPRA”) Coastal Master Plan. NRMA broadly supported the plan and the efforts of CPRA that benefit coastal residents, communities, and economies.

However, we encouraged CPRA to utilize the local knowledge of property owners and their representative associations to a greater extent in the future. NRMA contends the historical knowledge of these property owners, and our members, is an underutilized resource, that if used correctly, would ensure future projects could be planned, developed, and implemented more effectively.
